The ramp is here at last, and pretty soon the pianos will come home. This project has taken sooo long. I'll be glad when the construction, setup, and organizing are complete and I can spend an entire day creating.
Tonight was Girls' Night at our house. We had crustless pizza delivered from @marcospizza (delivery is a special treat), then put together our first @clearly.impossible.puzzle in just under 2 hours. Mary's favorite piece was the one with two straight edges. There were also "extra" corners and edges to make the puzzle more fun to put together.
Yes, I know it's not a piano, but it was in serious need of a makeover. An easy afternoon task. Now to start a puzzle on our "new" table....
I'm so excited to have a dedicated workshop for my piano art! The sign was made by @HouseSensationsArt on Etsy. Pat, Matthew, and I worked three days to build the floating deck and step, and even Mary drove a nail in. ☺️ The 4x4 posts will support a shade sail when the weather gets warmer. And when the ramp arrives, we'll be ready to bring in the pianos. Btw, we'll be looking for volunteers to help with that, so keep your schedule free.... Lol
Doodle no. 4, Psalm 40
Doodle no. 3
Doodle no. 2. As I worked on this one, I recalled memories of helping a blind lady named Mrs. Pearl memorize the entire psalm. She was 99 years old at the time.
I've been doodling in my sketchbook again, trying out a few new ideas for a special project.... Here's one of my favorite hymns: "Amazing Grace."
Our piano family has just grown by two. A player (my second) and a baby grand (my first!), along with sundry other parts, are coming home with us from Slidell, Louisiana. Many thanks to my helpers, Patrick and Bobby Rueger, for lending their muscle and driving skills.
