Art Made with Piano Hammers

From the “chicken” (properly called the hammer butt) to the “hammer head” (the felt part that strikes the strings), I use all of the action piece known as the hammer. The various colors you see on the hammers were not painted on, but they came that way out of the piano. Each manufacturer may use whatever color he likes, and I have found quite a variety in the 24 old pianos I’ve repurposed thus far.
