Art Made with Copper Piano Strings

The copper strings from the piano serve both ornamental and functional purposes in my piano art. It is cut from the piano, cleaned, carefully shaped, then mounted to the surface. Although I may be able to restore the brilliant luster (to varying degrees, depending on the age of the strings and the conditions they endured), some tarnishing is bound to occur with exposure to the elements. But that’s okay—it adds character. 🙂
